What We Do -> Student Organizing

Student organizing is at the heart of MSFC’s mission. To ensure that women receive the full range of reproductive health-care choices, MSFC groups fight to make reproductive health care, including abortion, a standard part of medical education and residency training.

Every year thousands of students step up from the relative and anonymous comfort of being pro-choice students to being activists and future abortion providers and pro-choice physicians.

The national office of Medical Students for Choice® supports students as they forge ahead with efforts to organize around abortion education, reform curricula, and de-stigmatize abortion care in the medical community. At MSFC, we are always working to generate a presence at every medical school campus across the United States and Canada. We also bring students together through the Annual Meeting and the Leadership Training Program , as well as helping students organize Regional Conferences. In addition, the MSFC national office provides financial support and resources for MSFC students.
